Role Play Information

As with all channelers in the PSW, damane will receive a One Power score from the FL Staff by means of a random generator.
This OP Score will be added to the character's biography on the bio board.

At that point, the player is expected to distribute their character's skill points among the five elements (air, water, fire, earth and spirit) and post that on their character's record thread on the Training Ground. If you have specific abilities in mind for your damane, make sure that you assign enough skill points to the elements needed for those abilities. You can check the requirements for the weaves out on the Weaves and Description page.

The One Power score is divided between Strength and Skill.

Strength is set but a woman grows into her maximum strength through time. It usually takes around ten years before a woman reaches her maximum strength, but damane generally reach it faster (on average five to six years) because of the way they are forced trained by experienced Sul'dam.
So for instance: a girl of 14 years old is leashed and has a potential maximum strength of 28. At 14, the damane will only have a strength of, on average, 9.

Female strength scores range between 22-34

A beginning damane will have a starting strength score of 1/3 her maximum.
Upon finishing the three initial damane lessons, the damane's strength will increase by 2 points per lesson, with a total of 6 points.
Two additional training sessions in the use of the One Power will increase the damane's strength to 2/3 of her maximum.
From there, each RP (with or without the use of the One Power) will increase her strength between 1 and 3 points, depending on the nature of the RP.

Skill is directly related to the amount of practice as well as to natural inclination a channeler has. As with strength, beginners will only have a fraction of their maximum skill level and increase their skill through training, practice and use of the One Power.

Female skill scores range between 26-38.

Upon being leashed, a damane will always start with a skill score of 0.
Each damane lesson will increase her skill level with 5 points, for a total of 15 upon finishing the three damane lessons.
From there, each RP involving a significant use of the One Power can increase the damane's skill level between 1 and 5 points depending on the nature of the RP.
Note: the higher her existing skill level, the more difficult/demanding it will be to increase to the next point. This will be decided on a case to case basis.
