General Info on the Kin

Role Play Information

There are 5 specific roles in order of increasing risk factor:

Please note:

      pin01c.gif  You need to get FL Staff approval to take on any of these roles. (send a private message (pm) to Mystica at Dragonmount with your request and motivation for this role)

      pin01c.gif  Obtaining these positions will make you part of the FL Training Staff for the Kin Guild.
     

    TS Requirements

    As a Training Staff member you need to:

    • be an active member of the Kin Guild for at least 3 months
    • be able to RP at least once a week for the Kin
    • be willing to update your Potential's records on the Training Ground board
    • be willing to be an active and contributing Training Staff member in the FL Group

      pin01c.gif  Where we don't give a specific number of posts or word count: the RP needs to be of decent size.
            Should this prove to be a problem, the FL Staff may intensify the rules on post size in the future, but we hope that won't be necessary.

      pin01c.gif  The number of available positions will be checked by the FL Staff. When needed the totals will be adjusted. Contact them to find out what is currently available.

      pin01c.gif  The FL Staff reserves the right to demote/replace any of these positions according to need.


    1. Potential Trainer     (10 positions available in total) 

    all reside in Ebou Dar, Altara. Either at the Retreat or in close proximity of it.

    To obtain the position of PT you must (in addition to the above TS requirements):

    • have your character skilled in at least one aspect of Kin life and have at least 1 RP in which this skill is learned/trained/practiced/used
    • have at least 1 RP from her life as a regular Kin member (note: she must be a member of the Kin for at least 1 Turn before she can become a PT)
    • RPing elements from her time before becoming a Kin Member may influence the decision to grant you the position of PT. This will be looked into on a case-by-case basis.

    2. Mistress of the Retreat (1 position available in total)

    resides at the Retreat in Ebou Dar, Altara.

    To obtain the position of MotR you must (in addition to the above TS requirements):

    • have your character old enough to be a grandmother (minimum 45 years)
    • have at least 1 RP concerning her introduction to the Kin
    • have at least 1 RP that shows her gaining the respect and trust of the Kin Leadership
    • have at least 1 RP in which she handles a high crisis situation successfully

    3. Wise Women or Wisdom (1 position available for every area: 13 in total)

    To obtain the position of Wise Woman or Wisdom you must (in addition to the above TS requirements):

    • have the necessary RP's to increase your character's OP skill level to it's Kin maximum (see 'how to increase skill' on how to do that)
    • have at least 2 RPs covering her apprenticeship under an existing Wise Woman/Wisdom (in addition to skill increase RP's):
          • 1 involving the use of the One Power (learning how to covertly use the OP to heal)
          • 1 involving learning mundane healing methods without the use of the One Power (herbs, treatment of wounds, illness, etc)
    • have 1 RP teaching basic OP skills to a less experienced Kin Member or Potential (under supervision of the Wise Woman/Wisdom mistress)

    4. Search & Rescue Kin (3 positions available per region: 12 in total)

    To obtain the position of Assessor you must (in addition to the above TS requirements):

    • have at least 2 RPs from their life as a regular Kin, 1 of which must be about a life threatening situation in which your character receives help to get to safety.
    • have at least 2 RPs from their time in training towards becoming an Assessor (see 'roles' for more info)
    • have at least 1 RP assisting an existing Assessor in a rescue mission

    5. White Tower Liaison Officer (3 positions available in total)

    To obtain the position of WT LO you must (in addition to the above TS requirements):

    note: your Kin can not be a WT runaway herself if she's to gain this position!

    • have at least 1 RPs from each of the Kin member's previous Turns as a Kin (minimum 2 Turns)
    • have at least 1 RP being involved as a regular Kin member in the catching/returning of a WT runaway (though not actually going to the WT herself)
    • have at least 1 RP where your Kin is involved in redirecting the gossip flow away from the Kin. (not necessarily WT involved. Just showing your Kin's ability to manipulate gossip. She won't be brilliant at it!! Make it interesting, fun, dangerous, flawed, etc.)
    • have 1 RP about her being approached for the position as WT LO and her reaction to it (this can be done as a reflective RP)
    • have 2 RPs about her WT LO training
