Kin Leadership

While some roles may provide a higher than normal authority level, there are only 3 leadership positions in the Kin:

In the PSW RP Kin, leadership positions are assigned by the FL Staff, who will check whether certain conditions have been fulfilled before deciding to grant the position to a specific character. What those conditions are can be found in the 'Rank Progression System' section of this site.

The highest level a Player Character (PC) can reach is that of Knitting Circle Member.

The Eldest position is held by a Non Specific Writer character (NSW) that belongs to the Freelanders Group (Division).
The FL Staff decides who gets to play this character.

Because of the limited number of active Kin members, there is a limited number of available leadership positions.
While the 13 members of each Circle are assumed In Character, there are at the moment only a limited number of Circle positions available for PCs. The FL Staff determines what is needful at any given moment. You can inquire about possible vacancies by contacting the FL Staff.

The Eldest is the oldest member of the Kin residing in Ebou Dar, Altara. She has the overall leadership over all the Kin on the mainland and presides over the Knitting Circle.

The Knitting Circle is made up of The Eldest + 12 of the oldest women of the various Area Circles around the land. The Knitting Circle also resides in Ebou Dar, Altara, from where they rule their appointed Regions and decide on Kin matters in general. While the Eldest is the overall leader, she will usually not decide on heavy matters without consulting with the Knitting Circle first.

The Area Circles are the ruling bodies that deal with local Kin matters in their appointed Area. Each Area Circle is made up of the 13 oldest members of the Area that want to sit in the Circle. This last part is quite important, for it is entirely possible that Kin members decline a seat even if they are old enough to hold one. So it is possible that there are older members than the Circle members in the Kin.
